mobile 2JOはモバイルシリーズ最大の2畳の茶室である。野点の席で亭主が客人をもてなす広さを念頭において設計した。mobile 1JO 1号、２号とケースの寸法は変わっていないが、広げた時の床面積は２倍になった。また、ベースが正方形になったために、テンセグリティーに吊った三角形の布地は2等辺三角形に変わり、構造も安定した。

12センチ厚さのアルミ製のスーツケースの片側に1畳、もう片側に台目畳と、収納スペースを内包した向板、そして炉としてカセットコンロを組み込んだ。カセットボンベをセットしお湯を沸かせば、この場でお茶を点てることができる。二人で行えば数分でmobile 2JOの準備は完了する。

Unfolding from a suitcase, the two-mat “mobile 2JO” is the largest tea room in the mobile series. It doubles the fl oor area without changing the storage size, achieving greater structural stability with a square base and isosceles triangle canopies. With a built-in cassette stove, it allows for an authentic open-air tea ceremony (“nodate”) anywhere you choose, such as under the cherry blossoms.

Aprendosi da una valigia, «mobile 2JO», di due tatami, è la stanza da tè più grande della serie mobile. Raddoppia la superficie senza cambiare le dimensioni di stoccaggio, ottenendo maggiore stabilità strutturale grazie alla base quadrata e alle coperture a triangolo isoscele.

Con un fornello a cartuccia incorporato permette una vera cerimonia del tè all’aperto («nodate») ovunque si desideri, ad esempio sotto i ciliegi in fiore.
