Fountain Medalists

In 2050, luxurious fountains are outdated. We have moved away from fountains that circulate large amounts of water in public places to fountains made with small amounts of water and maintained hygienically by individuals. At the same time, physical experiences have become more critical in the digital age. Yuki Sugihara has developed a fountain that can be made daily using small amounts of water from each household's water supply.

Those who competed in the game were called Fountain Medalists. They used 400 ml of running water to create a fountain in the shape of a butterfly or the sun for 10 seconds. Pay attention to the balance of your fingertips and enjoy the beautiful shapes created by the water's surface tension. It takes concentration and endurance to create beautiful water film shapes. Once you are fascinated by the shapes created by running water and enjoy its incredible pleasure, you are a fountain medalist.

Be the Fountain Medalist
After the warm-up exercise, hold the medal in your hand and turn on the tap water. Find a tap that produces clear water in a straight line and open the tap thinly. In fluid mechanics, a flow without droplets is called a laminar flow.

The Butterfly medal can form two antennae and V-shaped wings on both the left and right sides of the body.

On the reverse side, the Sun medal, the falling water twists in the center like glasswork. When water is applied to the center, the flowing water twists like ten petals.

Even making a fountain of only 10 cm square may make your fingertips tremble or go numb. Even the slightest tilt will cause an imbalance in the water film. To create a beautiful fountain, you need physical and mental flexibility, concentration, and stamina. Before playing with the Fountain Medals, be sure to turn your neck and stretch your arms and legs carefully. This is already a water sport.

If you can successfully enjoy playing in the water, hang a ribbon around your neck and bask in the glory. Everybody can be a Fountain Medalist.
